Thank you for choosing Humble Hounds LLC to care for your pet(s). We do everything possible to keep pets and their families safe, happy and healthy. Please read the following before scheduling your appointment, and sign at the bottom.

Meet and Greet

All new clients must participate in a consultation (the ‘Meet and Greet’) prior to a formal agreement on services. This allows Humble Hounds LLC and its clients to review each parties’ responsibilities, our general terms, as well as fees and payment terms. It further allows both parties to make an informed decision, and helps pets familiarize themselves with our caretakers. The Meet and Greet takes place at the client's home to maximize the pet’s comfort and natural behavior during the consultation.

Any additional Meet and Greets are $20 plus mileage fees for clients further than 10 miles away from Humble Hounds LLC. A brief tour of the common areas and yard of Humble Hounds LLC may be granted for boarding clients after the initial meet and greet has been held at the clients’ location. Humble Hounds LLC operates on private property and clients are granted access by appointment only.

Deposits and Payments

Invoices for one-time appointments are issued at the time of approval, and must be paid in full prior to services being rendered. Preferred methods of payment are ACH transfer or credit/debit card through Square. It is preferred to have an ACH eligible account on file for ease of payment collection, all sensitive information is stored securely on Square; Humble Hounds LLC itself does not maintain any sensitive bank or credit card information. Cash payments are also accepted and must be completed before the start date of services being rendered. Non-payment or partial payments will result in canceled bookings, and will require the client to make other care arrangements, and will void future agreements and appointments.

Invoices for recurring weekday appointments are sent every Friday and due no later than the Sunday night preceding those services. Invoices may be paid monthly at the beginning of the month or on a recurring date of the client’s choice prior to the services rendered. Contact Humble Hounds LLC for more information. To keep our package deals budget friendly for clients setting up an ACH bank transfer is required for weekly package pricing.

Clients are advised to make necessary changes for repeat appointments by the preceding Sunday, to avoid paying for unneeded services. Services will not be rendered without prior payment. Non payment prior to the start of appointment will result in cancellation of your appointment, regardless of the service (boarding, walks, drop in visits, pet taxi).

Cancellation Policy

Repeat cancellations are unfair to Humble Hounds LLC staff as well as clients who may want to book reserved time slots. Payments are due at the time of scheduling to reserve the client’s desired appointment. Repeat cancellations (3) will result in the requirement of nonrefundable and non transferrable prepayment to retain appointments. Further cancellations will result in the termination of this contract and all future services.

Changes to weekly walk schedule must be made by the Sunday prior to services. Any walk canceled with at least 24 hours notice will receive a credit toward the next week’s invoice. Walks canceled with less than 24 hours notice will result in forfeiture of payment. Repeat cancellations on recurring walks will result in the loss of the client’s reserved appointment and/or the termination of active client status and all future services.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of non-prepaid appointments shall incur a fee equal to the appointment’s full price. Future services will not be rendered prior to the full payment of outstanding cancellation fees.

All boarding reservations must be paid in full when booked; 25% of that is non-refundable and non transferable, without exception. The remaining 75% percent is eligible for a refund should cancellations be made a minimum of 8 days prior to the start date of the service, cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled services will result in forfeiture of full payment, and is non-refundable and non transferable, without exception. Refunds shall not be provided for boarding sessions that are terminated prior to completion. Further, any unused services are non transferable.

Cancellations on a holiday, holiday week, holiday weekend or other high demand date or week will result in the loss of payment as there are no refunds for appointments reserved on holidays.

Humble Hounds LLC reserves the right to suspend all services for accounts with outstanding unpaid balances, and until such balances are paid in full.

Inclement Weather

Humble Hounds LLC will make every attempt to get to every appointment during all weather situations. Walks and drop in visits will commence during rain with the absence of thunder and lightning. In severe or dangerous weather, appointments will be canceled or postponed to a later date or time in the day when the storm has passed. Examples of dangerous weather include, extreme hot or cold temperatures, hazardous driving or walking conditions due to snow, ice or flooding, high winds and thunder and lightning storms. These situations will be monitored case by case and services will be rendered as long as it is safe to do so.

During extreme temperatures Humble Hounds LLC will carry water and choose a walk route with ample grass and shade. Walks may be shortened during extreme hot or cold temperatures, rain storms and other weather situations as needed. The remainder of the appointment will be spent indoors utilizing this time for play, enrichment activities, command practice or any other indoor activity the client’s pet enjoys.

Prices and services are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC.

Humble Hounds LLC offers packages to help offset the prices for recurring services. The package price is only valid when paid on time, weekly, before services are rendered. Late or returned payments will void eligibility for package pricing and the full price for services will be invoiced for the remaining appointments. Nonpayment will result in cancellation of services.

Packages can be adjusted to add days to the original package.

Any services rendered further than 10 miles from Humble Hounds LLC incur a per mile rate equal to average current fuel prices. This also applies to Pet Taxi rides over 10 miles, as well as miles driven for A Walk In The Park.

Transportation and Pet Taxi

Transportation is available for animals only. Small animals should be in an appropriate carrier prior to Humble Hounds LLC arrival. Any services rendered further than 10 miles from Humble Hounds LLC incur a per mile rate equal to average current fuel prices. Please confirm that the daycare, groomer, vet, or other party involved is willing to comply with drop off and pick up plans and will release or receive the client’s pet to or from Humble Hounds LLC.

Any time spent waiting for the client’s pet will be charged at the rate of $10 per 15 minutes. This includes time spent waiting during vet appointments, waiting for a dog to be leashed and brought to the car, or waiting for a small pet to be put into a carrier.

Holidays

Services rendered on holidays, during holiday weeks, holiday weekends, or other high demand dates are priced at a 20% premium. These dates include:

  • New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
  • Good Friday and Easter weekend *
  • Memorial Day and Memorial Day weekend *
  • July 1 through July 10*
  • Labor Day and Labor Day weekend *
  • The week of Thanksgiving
  • The week of Christmas, through January 1*

* Friday nights are considered part of holiday weekends.

Holiday appointments for any service must be paid in full at the time of scheduling; no refunds or transfers shall be made for cancellations of holiday appointments regardless of type of service, reason, or when the cancellation is made.

Last Minute appointments

Walks or Drop In appointments made fewer than 12 hours before the start time of the appointment incur an additional 20% premium.

Boarding appointments made within 7 days of the boarding start date are priced at a 20% premium. Such bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable and non transferable.

Modified Bookings

Dates added to a boarding appointment or travel drop in package after it begins are priced at a twenty 20% premium for the additional dates or visits and must be paid in full at the time of approval. The availability of additional dates or visits cannot be guaranteed.

Home Access

Humble Hounds LLC will need to gain entry to the client’s home for walks, drop in visits and transportation pick up and drop off. Obtaining a spare key at the meet and greet is preferred. Key lock boxes are available to rent for a fee. Garage doors and garage door openers will no longer be used for a means of entry due to the possibility of power outages or garage door malfunction. Battery operated door knob codes are acceptable until further notice. Please be sure your emergency contact has access to your home; Humble Hounds LLC never shares keys or door code information with any third parties, including emergency contacts.

Humble Hounds LLC may have trusted employees involved in client’s services. This allows the caretaker to have access to entry to the client’s home to provide services. In these cases, contact information will be exchanged between the client and employee before services are rendered. Payments and appointments will still be made through square and Humble Hounds LLC.

Accidents/Injuries

Humble Hounds LLC shall be held harmless for any and all injuries to animals sustained while under our care. This includes–but is not limited to–injuries caused by improper or ill-fitting harnesses or collars provided by the client, as well as any damage to client property caused by the client's pet. The client will be responsible for replacement or repairs of Humble Hounds LLC facility, this includes fencing, and other property damaged by a client's animal, and fumigation for flea infestation caused by client’s negligence. If the animal cannot be contained, and causes any damage to Humble Hounds LLC facilities, fencing, or other property, or shows sustained or worsening aggression, the emergency contact will be called to pick up the offending animal and the services will be terminated without refund and an invoice will be issued to the client to cover damages.

Emergency/Medical

Clients are required to provide an emergency contact number, as well as current veterinarian contact information prior to any services being approved/rendered. It is required to have an in-state emergency contact and is aware of their emergency contact status. Clients agree to allow Humble Hounds LLC to seek and have administered any medical treatment for animals in its care as deemed necessary at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC. Humble Hounds LLC makes every reasonable effort to notify and involve clients in the event of an emergency. When possible the client’s regular veterinarian will be used, otherwise the nearest emergency veterinarian clinic will be used. Clients shall be solely responsible for any and all costs of such measures. Humble Hounds LLC carries liability insurance, which may reimburse certain veterinarian fees. Claims will be submitted when applicable. A per-mile travel fee equal to average current fuel prices will be assessed for any needed transport to and from the veterinarian or care facility.

Our insurance provider, Pet Sitters Associates, LLC, requires that dogs never be allowed off leash without the presence of an above-ground fence. Humble Hounds LLC does not visit dog parks. Dogs visiting our facility may have the opportunity to meet and play with other visiting dogs at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC. It is important to make Humble Hounds LLC aware of any aggression, fear or other issues regarding meeting and playing with other dogs. If both parties show interest in meeting, a slow approach will be taken to allow the dogs to become familiar with each other to maintain a calm and safe encounter.

All clients visiting Humble Hounds LLC must show proof of rabies and bordetella vaccinations BEFORE being allowed on the property, without exception. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. A current town or city dog license is required before any visit begins. (Contact your town or city offices for information about dog licensing.) These documents are to be submitted to Humble Hounds LLC anytime they are updated and must be kept up to date in our system to hold active client status.

Boarding Requirements and Information

All dogs visiting Humble Hounds LLC must be house trained to relieve themselves outside.

Owners must use a flea and tick preventative treatment on their dog. If a flea infestation occurs on your pet a flea bath will be given at a qualified, local groomer at the client's expense. If fumigation of Humble Hounds LLC facility is required due to negligence of the client, the cost of fumigation will be invoiced to the client.

If a client’s pet under the care of Humble Hounds LLC runs out of food, the client will be invoiced for reimbursement of food as well any related time and mileage. Plan accordingly by sending your pet to us with sufficient food and medication for their entire stay.

Boarding Drop Off and Pickup

All boarding clients must communicate planned drop off and pick up times at the time of booking. Drop offs before 3pm result in an additional $40 fee. Drop offs before 12 noon are billed as a full additional night. Pickups after 12 noon incur an additional $40 fee, and pickups after 4pm are billed as a full additional night. Unplanned early drop offs or late pickups are not encouraged and will be invoiced with the appropriate fee stated above plus a 20% premium. Humble Hounds LLC will send a minimum of one update text per day to boarding clients each evening containing at least one photo and will send an update with a photo at the end of a walk or drop in visit. Please make Humble Hounds LLC aware if you will be unreachable or do not wish to receive updates and photos. If you do not want updates please select the appropriate box below.

Humble Hounds LLC abides by all laws and agrees to maintain a high standard of care for client's pets. Humble hounds LLC will be allowed one hour before or after the scheduled service for arrival to appointments. Humble Hounds LLC agrees to conduct business with its clients so long as the conditions of this contract are met. Humble Hounds LLC may use collars, leashes, tags and other equipment to ensure the safety of each pet.

No client shall contact any employee, walker or caregiver assigned by Humble Hounds LLC outside of this contract. Clients shall use the proper avenues for booking appointments through Humble Hounds LLC using square or by calling or sending a direct message to Niki, find contact information below.

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding contract, and must be signed for the protection of both Humble Hounds LLC and its clients. Providing false or misleading information will result in the termination of services, and disallows any otherwise applicable refunds. The terms may be updated at any time, at the sole discretion of Humble Hounds LLC. Reasonable efforts will be made to make clients aware of such updates prior to the confirmation of any new appointments.

Niki gives us piece of mind when we go away. She goes above and beyond, getting mail, bringing in packages and even taking down our smoke/carbon monoxide detector when it was churning. She sends photos everyday just to let you know that your babies are doing fine. We have two Guinea pigs, so she has experience caring for small animals as well. Don’t hesitate to call her.
